Wired, or traditional, access control systems use a series of readers and controllers to create a secure layered solution to prevent unauthorised access to a protected area.

These controllers and readers can be stand alone or networked to provide scalable solutions to take care of the requirements of most customers locations.

The identity of an individual is determined by a ‘credential', which may be a PIN code, an access card, key fob, or a unique human characteristic such as a fingerprint. In some cases, combinations of two or more of these credentials may be used to identify the person.

The integrity of the solution is also reliant on the locking device fitted to the door. This device will hold the door locked until a valid credential is presented and recognised by the system. We are able to provide a full range of locking devices from leading manufacturers.
